not much combat sports talk in here recently....
i`ll jump in with a play(at a little over 3-1)on babalu sobral....i would never advise anyone to tail on a 3-1 play...i seldom do it...almost never...but,i think babalu is just to experienced,tough and well rounded...
van arsdale is an excellent wrestler...but,he`s over 40......his losses are to top guys...but,no really impressive wins....babalu has wins over maurice smith,trevor prangely,jeremy horn and....mauricio rua(that`s some win) among other solid victories...
but,kevin randleman has a win over babalu.....a wrestler......you never know....maybe van arsdale keeps him on his back....but,i expect sobral to find a way..he`s getting close to a title shot...
i played a little on couture at somewhere between +170 and +150.....if he stands up again with liddell,he`ll get knocked out again...he has to ground and pound liddell..no matter how dangerous closing ground will be...
parring diaz with sobral...riggs does alot of talking...and he`s a bull...i`m hoping diaz is well rounded enough to get it done...but,riggs may just overpower diaz....
i read over at the mma forum that couture was ripped...that frank mir put on alot of muscle while rehabbing from his injuries(and some are wondering about his cardio with the extra weight) ...and that diaz and riggs were mouthing off at one another at the weigh in....bad blood...fight of the night,maybe...
